Cameras, intercoms, locks, parking and networks should be planned as a system, not as isolated purchases.
1. Shared-area video
Position cameras with a clear purpose and respect for privacy; maximum resolution is not always necessary.
2. Main entrance access
Compare cards, PINs and mobile credentials with user volume and emergency egress requirements.
3. Video intercom
Assess apartment count, wiring and remote response. Cross-brand compatibility must be verified.
4. Parking and plate recognition
Model traffic, authorizations and lawful processing of plate-related personal data.
5. Network and lifecycle
Include PoE budgets, switches, backup power, recording and maintenance in the design.
Agree on governance
Document the building management’s roles, budget, privacy responsibilities and phased rollout.
